James Bryant Norris, 62, of Ft. Mitchell, KY, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones.

Born in Covington, KY, on June 28, 1963, James was the beloved son of Troy Dobson and the late Bonnie Dobson. He worked for many years as a painter in the construction industry and was known for his strong work ethic and kind heart.

James was preceded in death by his mother, Bonnie Dobson, and his sister, Lisa Dobson.

He is survived by his loving wife, Danielle Bedford, and brother-husband, Jack Bedford; his father, Troy Dobson; his former spouse, Brenda Norris and ex-girlfriend: Donna Hourshell, children: Cryztopher (Amanda Majesta) Norris, Christian (Ciersten Myers) Norris, Connor Norris, Joshua (Ales Smith) Norris, James Norris Jr., Daniel Johnson, Courtney (Jeremy Childers) Bowman, Cayla (Drake Battista) Norris, Lexie Bedford, Lisa Stacy, Elizabeth Stacy, and Ashley Smith, grandchildren: Cainden Bowman, Payton Norris, Laila Norris, Joshua Norris II, Jacob Norris, Kara Johannes, James Norris III, Jocelyn Johannes, Alex Johannes, and one grandchild on the way; brothers, Christopher (Veronica) Norris and Troy Dobson; nephews Jordan, Michael, and Cameron; nieces, Sidney, Samantha, and Payton; his aunt, Opal Smith; close friend Timmy (Tasha) Cook; and a host of aunts, uncles, extended family, and friends who will cherish his memory.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the Funeral Service at 2:00 P.M. at Serenity Funeral Care, 40 West 6th Street, Covington, KY 41011.
