He was born January 21, 1944 in St. Louis, MO.
He is survived by three daughters: Mary Duever, Glynda Crawford and Genia Genet; ten grandchildren: James Dye, Tracy Gravett, Doug Smith, Jeff McGee, Jennifer Duever, Jacob Duever, Glen Genet, Amanda Wells, Gary Williams and Howard "Jim" Smith; fourteen great-grandchildren; five great great-grandchildren; and a brother, Chuck (Sue) Poehlein.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Betty (Hicks; and a son, James Dye.
Mr. Poehlein worked in security for Ralston Purina and retired as a security officer based at USACOE at Material Sales Co.
According to his wishes, his remains will be cremated. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
