James Jacob "Jake" Poisel Sr.

James Jacob "Jake" Poisel, Sr., 37 years old of Pampa, Texas, unexpectedly passed from this life on Saturday, May 25th, 2024, at his home. He was born on June 1, 1986, in Tampa, Florida to Gary Lee and Liddie Poisel.
Shortly after Jake's arrival into this world, the family moved from Florida back to Texas and he attended Amarillo schools. Then, in 2011, they moved to Dallas, and he met Cassidee Casper. They dated for two years and on February 5, 2013, they became one in matrimony in Mesquite, Texas.
Jake had worked in the customer service industry for about 5 years before deciding to become completely self employed as an overall handyman. If it was broke – he could fix it or if he didn't know how – he would figure it out! Jake was not afraid to tackle any kind of job, big or small. He enjoyed woodworking and the ability to build something from nothing with his hands and he was quite proficient with a computer.
Laughter was Jake's medicine to cure all; therefore, it was his goal to tease, antagonize and prank anyone and everyone he could to bring forth smiles and joy! However, as much as he was a prankster, he was an angel with a charming disposition and a rock for his momma to lean on. It's said that eyes are the windows to the soul, and Jake's eyes spoke volumes. His wife, two boys and family meant more to him than anything else in this life and his love and devotion will be terribly missed by all of them.
Jake was preceded in death by his father, Gary Lee Poisel; brother, Jason Lee Poisel; sister, Melody D. Desperois and his Uncle Tex Feiro.
He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Cassidee Poisel; two sons, Elijah Benjamin Poisel and James Jacob Poisel, Jr; his momma, Liddie Poisel all of Pampa; three brothers, Gary Lee Poisel of Springfield, Alabama, Kenneth Poisel of Oklahoma, Bobby Long of Amarillo; a sister, Melissa Clevenger and husband Lee of Dallas; a nephew, Shane Poisel of Pampa; his mother-in-law, Randi Casper of Dallas and several extended family members he loved as well.
In honoring Jake's wishes, no services are scheduled, and the family has entrusted the cremation care of their loved one to Winegeart Funeral Home.
