82 year old, James E. Province, of Rensselaer, passed away November 9, 2024, at his home, with his loving family around him.

On August 3, 1942, James was born to Luther ‘Luke’ and Edith (Mays) Province in Briceville, Tennessee. James was a truck driver, who loved to drive. He drove school bus, tour bus, and truck driver. James also served in the U.S. Air Force. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, playing pool, and giving everyone a hard time. He was a member of the Rensselaer American Legion.

James is survived by his loving family: children: Rodney (Tena) Province, Penny (Lawrence) Rozhon, Tracy Province, Jeff (Tabitha) Province, 10 grandchildren, 7+1 on the way, great-grandchildren and partner: Sharion Sampson.

James was preceded in death by his first wife: Gloria (Groves) Province, parents, and son: Greg Province.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 E. Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for James will take place at the funeral home at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Paul Dyke officiating.

Interment will follow at a later date at Chapel Lawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
