James Harvey Randles, 72, husband of Elaine Morris Randles, of Seneca, SC, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 10, 2025 at Cottingham Hospice House.
Born in Knoxville, Tennessee, Mr. Randles was the son of the late Hal Trent Randles and June Large Randles. A proud graduate of the University of Tennessee, he was a lifelong Volunteer fan. He spent his career as a dedicated nuclear engineer with Duke Power, retiring after 36 years of service. He was a faithful member of Eternal Shepherd Lutheran Church, where he found joy in community and worship.
Mr. Randles was an avid ham radio operator, enjoyed golfing, camping, and fishing, and loved nothing more than time spent with his grandchildren. His role as "Papaw" was one he cherished deeply.
In addition to his wife of 46 years, Mr. Randles is survived by his son: Trent Randles (Lacy); daughter: Kara Williams (Cody); sister: Gail Martin (Mike); nephew: Brett Martin; grandchildren: Hudson, Dawson, Harvey, and Eva; and many nieces and nephews whom he loved.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Eternal Sheperd Lutheran Church in Seneca, SC.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Eternal Lutheran Church "Elders Fund", 220 Carson Rd, Seneca, SC 29678, donate here; https://secure.myvanco.com/YP30/campaign/C-Z3QB
