James A. "Jackie" Redmon

Obituary
Mr. James Arthur "Jackie" Redmon, age 84, husband of Janette Garner Redmon of Camelot Dr., Union, passed away Friday, May 19, 2023, at his home.
Mr. Redmon was born in Union Co., May 24, 1938, a son of the late Arthur and Leona Rhymer Redmon. He was a graduate of Union High School and retired from the City of Union Utility Department. Mr. Redmon was a veteran of both the US Army Reserves and the SC National Guard. He was a member of Mt. Joy Baptist Church where he had served as a Deacon. He was a licensed scuba diver and also enjoyed doing taxidermy work.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Dana Redmon; a son, Steven Redmon both of Union; and two grandchildren, Greyson Redmon and Marilyn Redmon. He was predeceased by a brother, Carol Redmon.
The family wishes to say a special Thank You to Spartanburg Regional Hospice for the care and compassion shown to Jackie and his family during his illness.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, May 22, 2023, at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Brad Goodale. The family will receive friends at the graveside immediately following the services.
Memorials may be made to Mt. Joy Baptist Church, 657 Pea Ridge Hwy., Jonesville, SC 29353.
The family will be at the home.
