James Reed Obituary
He attended Gahanna Lincoln High School, graduating in the class of 1951. James was a member of Saint Cecilia Catholic Church where he was a lector and hospitality and eucharistic minister. He served in the US Army in Korea and Germany. Employed as Chief of Gas Pipeline Safety for The State of Ohio, retiring in 1988. He was a member of Capital City Lodge #656, F&AM, where he was a past master. He also belonged to numerous other masonic bodies.
Friends may call at JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME of HILLIARD, 5471 Frazell Rd., Monday, October 20, 2025 from 4-7 PM. Funeral Mass, 10 AM Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at Saint Cecilia Catholic Church, 434 Norton Rd. Father Thomas Buffer, Celebrant. Inurnment Saint Joseph Cemetery, at a later date.

My sincere condolences to the Reed Family. Especially to my mother-in-law Debra Evans. Mr. Reed I never had the pleasure of meeting you but if your daughter is anything like you then I know that you were a good man. I married your grandson Kenneth Ray Pundsack 3 yrs ago, and I know that he spoke highly of you. Please know that you will forever be in his heart. Rest comfortably in Christ Jesus

We have missed Jim the past few Sundays at the 7:30 mass. His friendly smile and handshake was the perfect way to start a Sunday morning! We miss his booming voice. Jim knew the mass by heart.
