Alberta Mae Spridgeon

Alberta Mae Spridgeon (May 19, 1928 – October 6, 2025) passed away at Riverside Methodist Hospital on Monday, October 6, 2025. Survived by her daughter, Linda A. Spridgeon of Columbus and nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of Adolph John (Dolph) Stryffeler and Stepmother Lena L. Rogers. While attending Lincoln High School in Canton Ohio she worked for Ohio Bell as a long-distance operator. Attended The Ohio State University before marrying Doyt L. Spridgeon on September 16, 1950. Over the years she worked as a Finance Secretary at the church they attended and later for the condo association where they have lived for over 50 years.
She was a 75-year-old member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Past Matron of Community Chapter #488 which merged with Lorraine Chapter #1. Served as Grand Representative of Nebraska in Ohio. A member and Past Queen of Thebes Chapter #87 Daughters of the Nile and a 50-year member of Thea Court #5 Ladies Oriental Shrine.
She has been attending Bethel International United Methodist Church for the past several years. Involved with the United Women in Faith and the Ladies Lunch Bunch.
Calling hours will be 10:30 – 11:30 AM on Tuesday, October 14, with the service following at 11:30 AM and burial following at Union Cemetery.
