James Robertson Obituary

Published by Legacy on Jun. 10, 2023.
It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to James "Jimmy" Orrick Robertson. He passed away unexpectedly on June 8th in Salt Lake City, Utah, at the age of 54. He was born November 8th,1968 in Fort Belvoir, Virginia to James and Evangeline (Bikakis) Robertson. He grew up in East Carbon, Utah where he made wonderful memories and friendships that were dear to his heart and lasted a lifetime. He graduated from East Carbon High School in 1987. He then attended the College of Eastern Utah prior to graduating from The University of Utah with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science. Soon after, he met the love of his life, Bernedette, on a blind date. They were married May 20th,1995 at Prophet Elias Greek Orthodox Church.
Jimmy was a kind, gentle, soul with a larger-than-life personality. He was known for his wit and cynical sense of humor as well as his thought provoking conversations about politics, music, and sports. His favorite teams being The Utah Utes and Washington Redskins. He never missed an opportunity to share his opinions or tease those around him. He also loved being outdoors, exploring nature, and cooking. He had a knack for throwing anything together and making it a delicious meal. He rarely used a recipe and sometimes couldn't re-create the same thing twice. His meals were as unique as he was and will be missed. He was without a doubt one of the most loving, entertaining, and brilliant men we ever knew. Our lives will truly never be the same without him.
Jimmy is survived by his loving wife: Bernedette; his three adoring children: Sophie (Chris Henfer), Toby, and Katie Irene, as well as two fur babies: Niko and Benny. Sister: Joan (Richard) Aragon and family; Father-In-Law John Suarez; Brother-In-Law John (Angie) Suarez and family, and many beloved family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents: James and Evangeline Robertson; his grandparents; Mother-In-Law, Pat Suarez, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins who he missed dearly.
May his memory be eternal.
Services will be held Monday June 19th at Prophet Elias Greek Orthodox Church on 5335 S Highland Drive in Holladay, UT. There will be a viewing prior to services from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., followed by the funeral at 11 a.m. Interment will be held at Valley View Memorial Park, 4335 W 4100 S West Valley City, UT.
