James W. Roessler, 92, passed away Friday May 27, 2022 in Evansville, IN.
Born September 30, 1929 in Fulda, Indiana, he was the son of the late Vernon and Meta (Druschel) Roessler. He was united in marriage to JoAnn Griepenstroh on August 26, 1951. James was a Marine veteran during the Korean Conflict and a retired Operations Manager from Southern Indiana Gas & Electric Company (SIGECO). He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ of Fulda, IN, Reed Masonic Lodge #316 and the Hadi Shrine Temple of Evansville. He was a Kentucky Colonel, a Ham radio operator and enjoyed gardening, tinkering, beekeeping and story telling.
Survivors include his wife, JoAnn (Griepenstroh) Roessler; a daughter, Patricia (Mark) Peterson of Chicago, IL; a son, Ron (Gerianne) Roessler of Indianapolis, IN; Sisters, Virginia Polster of Santa Claus and Elsa Duncan of Gainsville, FL; Grandchildren, JP Hus, Steven (Megan) Hus and Meghann Roessler; great-grandchildren, Gracen, Owen and Logan, along with multiple nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Richard.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am, Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at Trinity United Church of Christ in Fulda, IN with Pastor Derek Roe officiating. Burial will be in Trinity United Church of Christ Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2:00pm to 7:00pm Monday, May 30, 2022 and 9:00am to 10:15am at the funeral home on Tuesday. The Reed Masonic Lodge #316 will have a service at 6:00pm on Monday evening.
Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Church of Christ of Fulda, IN and Shriner's Children's Hospital.
