Jim was a dear friend of nearly 30 years. We were born the same month in the same year-attended CSU and majored in accounting. We both ended up owning moving companies. Jim was the kindest, most sincere friend possible who gave so much more than he ever expected in return. We experienced so much together, learning our businesses, relying on each other's counsel and most importantly building a friendship that will always be treasured. We played so much golf together and never once did I beat my dear friend.
I loved him.

Jim was always a classy and well respected gentleman going back to the days at Bishop Gallagher when I was beginning my "teaching days". I was fortunate to not just know him as a good person, but I always respected Peter and Paul from the days of coaching freshman basketball! A great family, for sure, and although Jim will be missed for sure, think of him as being another member of that Promised Land! That's awesome!!

What a beautifully written tribute to Jim. The words spoke volumes about the kind of man Jim was. The world needs more people like him. May God comfort his family and friends at this time, and may the wonderful and cherished memories of Jim, ease the pain of his loss. Grand Junction has lost a fine community member.

This is Dave Meldrum from the Meldrum family of Harper Woods. Kirk Elsey and I went to Bishop Gallagher together and have remained in touch since then. He has told me of the passing of Jim his brother in law. I just want to extend my sincerest sympathies to Kim, her children and to the whole Saad family. May God give you comfort during this difficult time of grief. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Bishop Gallagher has lost a truly great alumnus and a great man.

I was in disbelief when I heard you'd passed, Jim. John DeSantis told me on fb...one of the few times fb proved to be invaluable! Anyway, i'd only gotten to see you at reunions in the past, but nevertheless, it was always great to reminisce about BOTH high school and grade school memories---both eras full of eastside great times in our mutual youthfulness!
The Gainer family sends our prayers to you and to your family. I told my Mom, brother Denny, sisters Jane, Jennifer, and Janice. Like me, they are all saddened, but happy that your are now resting comfortably in our Lord's care.
'Bye for now, Jim.

Jim was a big deal to me. As he was to countless others. What he gave me was a chance. An aimless 17 year old high school drop out to a career in the Moving & Storage business. "Danny, I need you to show and work hard everyday" what I did not realize at the time, is this simple statement from Jim has become a mission statement for the rest of my working carreer. Thank you. My sincere condolences to you Kim, and your family. All my prayers.

Jim, since 6th grade I've always looked up to you, and tried to emulate you. Every time I watched you, all that went through my head was, that's my cousin. Besides my Dad and Brother you were my Hero. I know you looked out for the Twins and me at Gallagher even though you would never admit it. The whole Zakem family lost a piece of their heart, April 10, 2016. My prayers and love are with you, Kathy, Peter and Paul. When I get there, let me know if I kneel, stand, bow my head, or just shake God's hand. We are all going to miss you, keep an extra glove out and hold the door open for me, love you bro, your cousin Michael.

May the happy memories you all have lessen the pain of his passing! He slid into home base...SAFE! - in his Heavenly Fathers arms! The Harberts

Jim, I thank you for contributing to me during my early years of coaching. As a player for me at Bishop Gallagher you played the game like all the players at Gallagher could use as an example of effort and having fun doing it. Your efforts gave us the first every state baseball championship that Michigan every sponsored. God blessed you with a heart bigger then all the things you accomplished on and off the athletics field. I'm blessed you were part of my life. God Bless Kim and the Saad extented family?.

Kim & family, So sorry for your loss. Jim was a wonderful boss, I really enjoyed working for him. It was a sad day when he sold Mesa Moving, it was never the same after that. He taught me a lot about the moving industry and made the learning fun. He will surely be missed. My deepest sympathy goes out to you and you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Kim and her family during this difficult time. Jim was a great brother-in-law who could tell a good joke or story with the best of them. He and Kim often opened their home to "invaders" from England, Michigan and Ohio. He will be greatly missed.
