James Schumann

On May 23, 2025, Jim passed away at Virtua Hospital in Voorhees at the age of 76. Born in Camden, Jim graduated from Gloucester Catholic High School and received a full scholarship from General Motors to train in their esteemed program. He worked as a mechanic for most of his life, retiring from Mufflermania in Haddon Township. A true car enthusiast, Jim rebuilt his father's old Pontiac and raced it across the country, often found at ATCO Raceway.
Jim was predeceased by his parents, John R. and Alice Schumann Conway, as well as his stepfather, John Conway. He is lovingly survived by his devoted wife, Patricia "Pat" McCusker (nee Welsh); his stepchildren, Katie McCusker (Valerie Londergan), Ryan McCusker, and Douglas McCusker (Anna Donofrio); his brother, John "Jack" Schumann, PhD (Maria Pimentel Schumann); and his niece, Jenna, and nephews, John and James.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Thursday, June 5th, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at St. Rose of Lima Church, 4th Avenue and Kings Highway, Haddon Heights, where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 PM (NOON). Interment will follow at Locustwood Cemetery, Cherry Hill, NJ.
