James Allen "Jim" Schweichler ObituaryJames Allen "Jim" Schweichler, 64
EAST LIVERPOOL – James Allen "Jim" Schweichler, of East Liverpool, passed away, August 31, 2025, at home. He was 64 years old.
Born July 17, 1961, in Dunkirk, New York, he was the son of the late David Schweichler and Catherine Sweeney Anderson. After graduating from high school, Jim proudly served in the United States Navy. He later became a professional truck driver and was an owner-operator, taking pride in running his own rig.
A true handyman, Jim wasn't afraid to tackle even the most ambitious home improvement projects-he once dug out an entire basement himself. He loved working in his yard, playing pool, bowling, cooking, working on computers, watching Star Trek, drawing Snoopy, listening to country music, playing guitar, and singing karaoke. Above all, Jim cherished his family. He adored his grandchildren and took great pride in organizing family reunions, always making sure everyone stayed close and connected.
He is survived by his two children: Steven Schweichler of Hiller, PA, and Jamie Rehman of Millsboro, PA; his beloved grandchildren: Heather, Emily, Meghan, and Micah; his siblings: David Schweichler and his wife Cyrille of Washington, NC; George Schweichler and his wife Robin of Erie, PA; Steve Schweichler and his wife Melissa of Chester, VA; Mike Schweichler and his wife Nenita of Tyler, TX; and Julie Anderson of Jamestown, NY; and several nieces and nephews: Jennifer, Nick, Sean, Breanna, Brendan, and Dean.
A memorial service will be conducted by Rev. Norm Eckert at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 25, at the Dawson Funeral Home. Friends may visit two hours prior to the service, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Following the service the family will gather at the Dawson Family Center for a time of fellowship.
