PRINCETON, WV – James N. Shaban, Jr., age 34, passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at the CAMC General Hospital in Charleston, WV. Born September 13, 1989, in Bluefield, WV, he was the son of Melissa Miller Fisher of Princeton, WV, and the late James N. "Jimmy" Shaban.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandfather, Richard Miller; and cousin, Timothy Miller. Survivors include his mother, Melissa Fisher (Kenny) of Princeton, WV; son, Jordon Landry of Baton Rouge, LA; sister, Nichole Rathell (Derrick) of Princeton, WV; brother, Jameson Shaban; nephew, Kayden Rathell of Princeton, WV; grandparents, Pete and Wanda Dunford of Peterstown, WV, and Kay Miller (Vernon) of Roanoke, VA; aunts, Betsy Noonkester (Matt) of Peterstown, WV, and Jenefer Crim of Savanah, GA; uncles, Von Dunford of Peterstown, WV, Petey Shaban (Lee Ann) of Martinsburg, WV, Richard Miller of Lincolnton, NC, and Hasel Glen Roberts of SC; niece, Delayna Inabnith of Tazewell, VA; cousins, Bobby Ratliff of Johnson City, TN, Jeremy Saltz of Savannah, GA, and Kaylynn Cave of NC; and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel in Peterstown, WV, with Pastor Pete Dunford officiating. Burial will follow at the Peterstown Cemetery in Rich Creek, VA. Visitation will be held from 12:00PM until time of services on Saturday at the funeral home.
