James Shea Obituary
His wife of 52 years, Pamela J. (Rouvel) Shea died in February of 2023.
Jim was born in Brighton, June 30, 1946, one of four boys born to Roland F. and Harriet (Egan) Shea and grew up in Brighton.
He was a 1964 graduate of Boston Latin High School and a 1968 graduate of Boston College. He continued his education at Boston State College where he received a Masters Degree in Education.
For over 30 years, Jim taught History at Burlington Elementary and High Schools, Burlington, retiring in 2004.
He leaves his son John and daughter in law Brendalyn Shea of Leominster; his daughter, Mary K. Shea of Nashua, NH; two brothers, Fred Shea of Merrimack, NH, Bernard Shea of Milford and two grandchildren, Malia Shea and Jade Shea.
He was predeceased by a brother, Roland Shea of Jewett City, CT.
Jim had been active in the Townsend Little League programs and enjoyed golfing watching sports.
Jim's family will receive relatives and friends at a visitation period 10 AM – 11 AM Thursday, February 22, 2024 at the Anderson Funeral Home, 250 Main Street (Rte 119) Townsend Center. www.andersonfuneral.com
A service of prayer & reflection will take place at 11 AM. Spring interment will be in Groton Cemetery, Groton, Massachusetts
