James "Jim" Perry Smith
73, of Mooresville passed away on November 1, 2025 at home. Jim was born on July 10, 1952 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Millburn "Wayne" Smith and Marjorie (Gaines) Smith.
Jim proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. Upon returning home, he worked as a field service supervisor in HVAC for over 20 years, before retiring. He was a member of the American Legion Post #103 in Mooresville for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren, often planning family reunions and get-togethers. He will be remembered as a hardworking man, who loved his family dearly.
He is survived by his wife, Carollyn (Hahn) Smith; daughters Nicole Smith, Crystal (Jeff) Yeager; sister Barbara Conaway; brother Gene Smith; grandchildren Jordan Smith and Layla Fischer.
Family and friends will gather in celebration of Jim's life on Friday, November 14th from 3:00pm- 6:00pm at Carlisle Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, with funeral services beginning at 6:00pm Friday in the funeral home. Cremation will follow the services, and graveside services will be held on Saturday, November 15th at 11:00am in Memorial Park Cemetery.
