Obituary of James Spallacci
Jim Spallacci, 82, passed away peacefully in Duluth, MN on August 26, 2024. Born on July 9, 1942 to Teresa and James Spallacci, he was the youngest of three children. Jim spent his early years in Oliver, WI and later in Gary – New Duluth. His parents immigrated from Italy and Jim was raised on authentic Italian cuisine prepared by his mother, Teresa. This love and appreciation of "everything Italian" was an important part of his life.
Jim graduated from Morgan Park High School in 1959. Following graduation, Jim served in the National Guard and attended barber school. Jim was a barber for many years, later worked for the Port Authority, and then as a car salesman for Krenzen until his retirement. Retirement gave Jim time to enjoy his other passions; tennis, jazz music, and attending car shows with his brother.
Jim married the love of his life, Helen Radich, in September 1967 and they enjoyed 57 years of marriage. Their love and devotion to each other was a reminder to people that true love does exist.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Antoinette (Larry) Seppi and Vince Spallacci. Jim is survived by his loving wife, Helen, of 57 years, nieces and nephews, and sister and brothers-in-law who will miss him terribly.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, September 18 from 2-4 p.m. at the Cremation Society of MN, 4100 Grand Ave., Duluth 55807.

Jim was a wonderful Italian man who came from wonderful roots. Loved that family. He was my friend and car salesman of many years. Our family enjoyed his family all our lives. RIP Jim, God has called home a very special angel. My sincere condolences to Helen. What a beautiful and long marriage you two had...and a beautiful inspiration to all who know you. Helene Abbott
