James spent 25 years with Connie Meade who was the mother to his son and stepson. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved playing pool.
James is preceded in death by his dad Franklin Stamper; his mother Sally Picklesimer; his brother Rick Stamper and his brother Terry Stamper.
He is survived by his son Matthew Stamper (Deidrah Sparks) of Jay, OK; step-son Brandon May of Paintsville, KY; sister Teresa Spicer (William) of Grove, OK; brother Doug Stamper (Linda) of Fletcher, OK; step-brothers James Chapman (Jessica) of Lacassine, LA and Leonard Chapman (Indie) of Kansas; 4 grandchildren Kasen, Kiowa, Noah, and Madison; many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly; along with his extended family and friends.
James' family will have a Private Celebration of Life Memorial Service at a later date.
Arrangements are entrusted to Lawson's Funeral Homes & Cremation Services Chapel, 311 W. Gray St., Jay, OK 74346 with Shaunda J. Lawson, 3rd Generation Owner/Funeral Director and Staff.
