James H. "Jim" Stout, 85 of Chatham passed away Thursday, May 8, 2025.
He was born February 24, 1940 in Springfield, the son of James and Margaret Klor Stout, raised in Glenarm
Jim married Anne Pulliam and she preceded him in death. Also, preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Samantha Stout Finney; sister, Judith Swan; brother, Stephen Stout.
Jim graduated from Glenwood High School in 1958 and from MacMurray College. Jim served in the U.S. Army where he attended basic training at Fort Leonard Wood and stationed at Bad Aibling, Bavaria. He was a gas engineer for CIPS, farmed in the Glenarm area for several years and retired from Imperial Outdoor Signs.
Surviving are three sons, Jimmy of Peoria, IL, Matt (Victoria) of Brea, CA, and Joshua (Haley) of Terra Haute, IN; seven grandchildren; one brother, Joe (Kimberly) of New Berlin, IL; and several nieces and nephews.
No services will be held.

My condolences to his family and friends. Jim and I were friends as youngsters and went to Glenwood together. Always enjoyed being with him. My best to his family.

Who could forget that beautiful smile? Knew Jim in childhood, in the late 1940s and again in high school. Always up for fun. Sending condolences, Sorry to hear of it.
