James Swangler, Jr. Obituary
James Joseph Swangler Jr., passed on May 17, 2024 at Community Medical Center, Tom's River, N.J. after battling a recent history of health issues.
Jimmy was born at Mercer Medical Center on May 29, 1960, and was a life long Trenton area resident. A 1979 graduate of Hamilton West, Jimmy retired after working 40 years for the State of New Jersey Department of Transportation as a heavy equipment operator. When not enjoying professional football or wrestling, Jimmy dedicated his energy to his passion as an Alcoholics Anonymous member, mentor, and leader, recently surpassing his 20 year sobriety coin.
Preceded in death by his parents Catherine A. Swangler (DeAngelo) and James Joseph Swangler Sr., as well as his brother Gary; Jimmy is survived by daughters, Kristin Smiga and Chelsea Swangler; brothers John and his wife Christina; Michael and his wife Andrea; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
A memorial service will be held at Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 2365 Whitehorse-Mercerville Rd., Hamilton, N.J. 08619, on Saturday, May 25, 2024. Calling hours will be between 2PM and 4PM.
