James "Jim" Raymond Teare, age 80 of Stow, passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at Akron City Hospital Summa Akron City. He was born August 20, 1944 in Norwood, OH, the son of Raymond J. and Mary (Nuss) Teare.
Jim was a dedicated employee of General Electric where he served in the Cleveland Lighting Division retiring after 38 years. Jim was an avid golfer and a fan of Clevelend sports teams. He could often be found fishing on Lake Erie or delivering a hot meal for Meals on Wheels. A lover of Elvis and 50's rock music, Jim also enjoyed trying his luck at casinos. He truly enjoyed the time spent with his family and his grandchildren.
He is survived by his sons, David Teare, Jeffrey Teare, Michael (Anne) Teare; daughter, Ellen (Kesh Boodheshwar) Foster; son-in-law, Mike Foster; daughter-in-law, Raquel Teare; grandchildren, Jacob, Corinne, Joey, Emma, Brennan, Henry, Jack and their grandmother, Linda Teare; brother, Tom Teare; step-children, Charles (Maria) Claypool and their children Amber Nichole and Jeremy, Michael Claypool and his sons, Christopher and Brandon. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Teare; step-daughter, Elizabeth Claypool-Gilleski; his parents; and brother, Howard Teare.
Friends will be received 1:00 to 3:00pm on Sunday, September 29, 2024 at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St. in Madison. Funeral Service will be held at 3:00pm on Sunday.
