James Upton Obituary
He was born on December 10, 1927, in Spring Creek, PA, a son of the late Robert and Mildred (Houghtling) Upton.
Seymour was raised and educated in Spring Creek, PA and worked on the family farm for many years. He then went into the Sawmill business until he started his own company. Seymour then owned and operated Upton Trucking until he retired.
He enjoyed riding horses.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, James C. Upton; brother, Robert "Bob" Upton and great-grandson, Samuel Hendrickson.
Seymour is survived by his wife, Mildred L. (Graham) Upton; daughter, Linda Upton; two sons, Rick (Cindy) Upton and Larry (Connie) Upton; daughter-in-law, Marie Upton all of Spring Creek, PA; stepchildren, Scott Martin of Cambridge, PA, Laura Irvine of Elberon, VA and Sherry Miles of Jamestown, NY; 10 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held in the Spring.
Arrangements are under the care of Bracken Funeral Home, Inc., 315 N. Center St, Corry, PA 16407.
