James W. “Jim” McPHERSON, 70, of Sunderlinville, PA, died Monday, August 25, 2025 in Wheaton’s Personal Care Home, Westfield.

Born March 15, 1955, in Blossburg, he was the son of Robert and Mary M. Snay McPherson. A 1974 graduate of Galeton Area High School, he was employed by Pure Carbon in Coudersport, Schweizer Aircraft in Horseheads, NY, and served as a Hector Township Supervisor for 35 years.

Surviving are: a daughter, Katrina (Michael) Lewis of Westfield; two grandchildren, Alyssa and Isaiah; a brother, Arlen (Janet) McPherson of Galeton; nieces and nephews; and dear friend, Bonnie French of Sunderlinville. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Robert E. “Rob” McPherson.

Friends may call at People’s Church of Potter Brook, 62 Rte. 49, Westfield on Saturday, August 30, 2025 from 10:00 – 11:00 AM, with Funeral Services following at 11:00 AM. Rev. Gene Jones will officiate. Burial will be in Parker Hill Cemetery.
