James Lloyd Wade, 79, of Albany, GA, wonderful, dedicated and loved died unexpectedly Thursday, April 4, 2024. The family will receive friends at Mathews Funeral Home Tuesday, April 9, 2024 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 pm at Floral Memory Gardens. Masonic rites will be given by the Tri-County Memorial Club. Reverend Charles Jones will officiate.

James was born in Memphis, TN, on January 21, 1945 to Robert and Mildred Wade. He graduated from Humes High School and went on to join the United States Army where he served honorably. 
James relocated from Memphis to Albany, GA in 1979 after joining Milller-Coors where he was employed for thirty-three years. He was a member of Sherwood Baptist Church and River Pointe Golf Club. James was also a member and Past Master of Dougherty Lodge #591 F&AM.  He was able to participate in serving his community and continuing his passion for golf by starting the Lodge's annual golf tournament over thirty-five years ago.

He is survived by Betty M. Wade his beloved wife of 57 years, his children, Traci (Carmine) Perrelli of Deerfield, IL and Teresa (Fred) Collins of Columbus, GA, sisters: Hannah Wade and Linda Joblaski; Many loved Nieces and Nephews,  most closely Anita Hutchinson, Sherry White, Lisa Mizell, Vernadett Thigpen, Robert Thigpen and Betty Joblaski and his cherished grandchildren Abby Perrelli, Wade Perrelli and Chandler Collins. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lee Wade, Sr. and Mildred Marie Wade, his brothers, Eugene "Gene" Wade, Robert Lee Wade, Jr., and Donald Wade; and his sisters, Beverly L. Gonzales and Mary Wade.

Memorials if so desired can be made in memory of James L. Wade to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD, 21741 or the American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX, 75231.
