Mrs. Kathy Gail (Hallman) Wade, aged 73, of Bremen, peacefully passed away on February 19, 2026. Born in Tallapoosa on August 22, 1952, she was the beloved daughter of the late W.R. Hallman and Myra (Hutcheson) Hallman. She is also preceded in death by her stepmother, Dorothy (Brown) Hallman.
A graduate of Buchanan High School, Kathy began her career as a waitress and cashier before pursuing her passion for education. She later earned her degree from Chattahoochee Technical College and dedicated many years to teaching Pre-K, retiring due to health reasons. In her leisure time, Kathy found joy in reading, crocheting, and tending to her garden, where she treasured the companionship of her pet dogs, Mitzi, Big Mama, and Angel. A devoted Christian, Kathy found her greatest joy in her family, who will greatly miss her presence.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Van Wade of Bremen; her daughters and sons-in-law, Nicole and Ronald Woody of Tallapoosa and Wendy and David Morris of Bremen; her grandchildren and their spouses, Levi and Sydney Morris, Logan Morris and Molly Ewing, Luke Morris, Brandon and Kendra Hobbs, and Brent and Ambre Hobbs; her great-grandchildren, Alyanna, Jacob, Brent, Addie Mae, Isla, Nolan, and her absolute littlest best friend, pride, and joy Nahli Morris. Kathy is also survived by her lifelong best friend, Gail Stepp and a number of other beloved relatives and many friends.
