James Walsh

It is with heavy hearts that we announce that James F. Walsh, 59, passed away on Sunday October 29, 2023 at Wilson Hospital. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend. He is survived by parents James and Dorothy Walsh; sisters and brother-in-law Kelly Ruth and Ron Marsilio, Kathy Ruggeri, Karen and Pete Davis; nieces and nephews Paul Ruggeri III, Morgan Ruggeri, Christopher and Diana Ruggeri, Kevin and Jordan Davis and their son Brooks, Conner and Allegra Davis, Cole and Anjali Davis; uncle and aunt David and Jennifer Molstead; cousins Rachel and Lizzie; special friend Jodee Russell. Jimmy was a spirited character who livened up whatever gathering he attended and touched the hearts of everyone he met. Jim had boundless energy and lived life with gusto. As an avid outdoorsman he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, golfing, and skiing. He loved his years in Colorado but returned to upstate New York to be closer to family. He was thrilled to reconnect with great high school friends and enjoyed riding his Harley, playing ping pong, and hanging out with friends and family. Working in sales and interacting with people all day long was a wonderful match for his outgoing personality. He was a self-taught handyman and mechanic, gladly lending a hand to anyone in need. He will be remembered as a man with a big heart and a zest for life. The family will receive friends on Saturday November 18, 2023 from 12-2pm at the Barber Memorial Home 428 Main Street Johnson City.
