James Wozniak

James Wozniak, age 78, of Erie, passed away on Monday August 25, 2025 at St. Vincent Hospital

He was born in Erie on May 26, 1947 to the late Edward and Frances Wozniak.

James graduated from Tech Memorial High School. He retired from General Electric and Emmanuel Presbyterian Church. He also worked at the original Fuhrman’s Cider Mill until it burned down. Jim served in the U.S. Army as a Sgt. From 1966-1968 in the Vietnam War with the 25th Infantry Division. He was also an assistant Scout Master for Boy Scouts Troup 40, a governing member of PRCUA 240 Society of Holy Trinity and served as an auditor.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years Christine Trochowski Wozniak; a daughter, Lori Ann Wozniak (Richard Josephs) of Erie, PA; a son, Brian John Wozniak of San Leandro, CA; sister, Madeline Hartleb of Erie, PA; along with his beloved dog, Jasper, grand cat, Boris and grand dogs, Chester and George.

Friends may call on the family at Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Services, Inc. Wintergreen, 2532 Norcross Rd., Erie, PA 16510 on Friday August 29 from 4pm – 7pm and attend a service there on Saturday August 30 at 1:30pm. Burial in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
