LAWNDALE: James Christopher Wray, affectionately known as Jimmy, passed away on August 8, 2025, at the age of 53. Born on February 3, 1972, in Columbus, OH, James brought warmth and kindness to everyone he encountered. He peacefully departed in Lawndale, NC, surrounded by the love of his cherished family.

James was a sweet, kind-hearted man who found joy in life's simple pleasures. A devoted fan of horror movies, he held a special fondness for the "Friday the 13th" series. His creative spirit shone through in his love for drawing, and he often found solace in music, which accompanied him throughout his life’s journey.

Family was central to James's world. He relished being surrounded by loved ones, always welcoming company with open arms and a warm smile. His gentle and caring nature left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to know him.

Preceded in death by his beloved parents, James Willard Wray and Betty Dollison Wray, James is survived by his sister, Jamie Edens, and her husband, Daniel. He also leaves behind his adored nieces, Nicole and Maisie, and his nephew, KJ, who will forever hold his memory close.

James's legacy of kindness and love for family will continue to inspire all who had the pleasure of knowing him. May his gentle soul rest in peace, as his spirit lives on in the hearts of those he touched.
