Jamica Howard

Jamica Howard, 32, of Syracuse, passed away on September 2nd after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on July 6, 1993, and was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, aunt, and friend.
Jamica worked for many years as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Central Park, where she was known for her dedication, compassion, and kind spirit. She was predeceased by her mother, Brenda Walker, and her sister, Fatima Walker.
Jamica is survived by her cherished son, Kazier Fort; her sisters, Trenisha Polk and Jabreen Walker; her brother, Darquann Walker; her father, Richard Howard; her grandmother, Willa Walker; and her uncle, Christopher Walker. She also leaves behind four nieces: Quantalese Lewis, Ramahj Flagg, Rielle Walker, and Di'Ani Mattison; three nephews: Nyrell, Xvaion Walker-Pickard, and Quadi'er Lewis; and a host of great-aunts, cousins, and extended family members.
Jamica was open about her illness and faced each day with remarkable strength and grace. Her courage and honesty throughout her journey were an inspiration to everyone who knew her.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, September 9th, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Bethany Baptist Church, 149 Beattie Street, Syracuse, NY. A service will follow at 12:00 PM.
Jamica will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all whose lives she touched.
