Jamie Gayle Hughes was born on April 22, 1981, to Mary and Gary Hughes. On June 22, 2025 Jamie left this world far too soon, surrounded by love and now in the eternal peace of Jesus' arms.
Jamie was a devoted mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She is survived by the three greatest loves of her life-her children, Billy, Nicholas, and Mackenzie-whom she loved with every ounce of her being. Her unwavering dedication to her children was the heartbeat of her world.
She also leaves behind her loving siblings: Trish Yount (Jimmy), Gary Hughes Jr., and Christopher Hughes, along with many nieces and nephews who adored her. Jamie had a special place in her heart for her family, and her presence will be deeply missed by each of them.
Jamie is reunited in Heaven with her beloved parents, Mary and Gary Hughes; her grandparents; and her brother, Joseph Hughes.
Jamie lived life with passion, laughter, and an unforgettable spark. From her love of tanning, hanging out with family & getting her nails done to hunting down the best deals on Miss Me jeans-Jamie brought flair and fun wherever she went. She was unapologetically herself, full of energy, style, and strength.
Her strength was most evident in the battles she faced-and beat-not just one, but two types of cancer. When the odds were stacked against her, Jamie rose up, fought fiercely, and came out victorious. She wasn't just a survivor-she was warrior.
But more than anything, Jamie's greatest joy in life was her family. Her children were her everything. She poured her heart into loving them, raising them, making sure they knew how proud she was to be their mom.
Jamie is now at rest, free from pain, cancer, and worry. Her vibrant spirit, her love, and her strength live on in those she touched. She is home now-whole, healed, and forever watching over those she loved most.
