Jamie A. Severs

Jamie A. Severs, 46, of Negley, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday, June 30, 2025. Born on March 20, 1979, Jamie was the beloved son of Rick and Larissa Harris Severs, and the late Valene Birkhimer Severs. He was an industrious millwright and welder, dedicating many years of his career to RBS and PCIS in East Palestine, Ohio. A proud graduate of Beaver Local High School in 1997, Jamie had a lifelong fascination with collecting obscure and interesting artifacts, which reflected his unique and inquisitive personality. In addition to his passion for collecting, he found great joy in outdoor activities, spending time in nature, and was an ardent supporter of the Pittsburgh Steelers, often sharing spirited conversations about the team with friends and family. Jamie was preceded in death by his mother, Valene, his nephew Nathan Severs, with whom he shared a particularly close bond, his brother, Jerry Thomas, as well as his grandparents and great-grandparents. In addition to his father and mother, Rick and Larissa Severs, he is survived by numerous cherished family members and friends. This includes his longtime companion and best friend, Maureen, along with her daughter, Rhiannon, who brought joy to his life. Jamie's daughter, Mariyah Severs, holds a special place in his heart, and he always took pride in being her father. He also leaves behind siblings Rick (Hope) Severs, Matthew Severs, and Casey Thomas, as well as an extended family that includes several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and numerous friends, all of whom will remember him fondly for his kind spirit and infectious enthusiasm for life. To honor his memory, a memorial visitation will be held for Jamie's family and friends at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester on Tuesday, July 8, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to come together during this time to share their memories, offer support, and celebrate the life of a truly remarkable individual.
