Jamison (Page) Burnside, 68, of Enfield, entered into the arms of the Lord on Tuesday, September 17, 2024. Above all, Jamison's love for Christ was the guiding force in her life, and she was devoted to showing His love to all those she encountered.
Born in Pontiac, MI, she was the beloved daughter of the late James Henry Ochiltree Page and Marilyn Gorham Gould Page. Throughout her life, Jamison embraced a variety of professions, from auto mechanic to stenographer, but she found her true calling as an interpreter for the Deaf. She was an accomplished sign language interpreter with a unique gift of signing music for the Deaf. Her dedication to this work flourished during her thirty-plus years at the University of Massachusetts and through her freelance endeavors, where she made a profound impact on countless individuals.
Jamison's kindness and nurturing spirit shone brightly in her personal life. Her unwavering faith inspired her to serve others, whether as a worship leader for 15 years, offering a warm meal, or simply being present to support those in need. Her generosity was matched only by her artistic talents; she played several instruments, including the guitar, mandolin, and her prized upright bass, and was an accomplished painter and certified gardening enthusiast.
Jamison is survived by her son, Micah; her sister, Molly Jager and husband Adolph of Sellersville, PA; her brother, Thompson Page and wife Karen Reich of Hartford, CT; her niece, Corrine; her nephew, William; and many extended family members and dear friends. She was predeceased by her former husband, Robert Burnside.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation from 4 to 6 PM on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd, Enfield. A funeral service will follow at 6 PM. Jamison will be lovingly laid to rest with her family at a graveside service at Dale Cemetery in Connersville, IN. A reception meal will be served promptly after the service at Figaro's, 90 Elm Street, Enfield, CT.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Springfield Rescue Mission, 10 Mill Street, P.O. Box 9045, Springfield, MA, 01102-9045, or by visiting springfieldrescuemission.org/donate. Jamison knew the name of every homeless person in Enfield, fed them, clothed them, and put them up in hotel rooms on cold nights. Jamie lived a life devoted to Christ and was a living model of His love, bountifully bearing all the fruit of the Spirit. For online condolences, please visit www.leetestevens.com. Jamison's devoted and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched.

I remember Jami from many years ago, when we both were interpreting at a Bill Gothard seminar at Symphony Hall. She was a very skilled, talented, gracious, fun, caring lady. I am sure she will be greatly missed by her loved ones. My deepest sympathy and prayers for peace and comfort, knowing she is now with our Lord Jesus.
