Jan Marlene O'Donnell, 69 of West Union, Iowa passed away Thursday, October 2, 2025 at her home. She was born March 3, 1956 to Lowell and Mary (Cummings) Langerman in West Union, Iowa. Jan graduated from Fayette High School in 1974 and attended college at North Iowa Community College in Calmar, Iowa.

Jan had recently retired from working in housekeeping at the hospital and in her spare time enjoyed traveling, being outside, mowing, writing letters and doing puzzle books. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren.

Surviving Jan are her children, Bradley (Natalie) Guenther of Elkhorn, Nebraska, Elizabeth O'Donnell (Patrick McCann) of West Union, Iowa and Tracy O'Donnell (Andrea Vaiani) of Pistoia, Italy; nine grandchildren; mother, Mary Langerman; and her siblings, Joyce (Gary) Petsche, Cary (Candy) Langerman, Peggy Hamann, Colleen (Dwight) Wilson, John (Ann) Langerman, and Carol (Steve) Aten. Jan was preceded in death by her father, Lowell Langerman.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday October 8, 2025 from 3:00 pm-7:00 pm at the Rustic Chic Event Center
