Jana Sixkiller

Jana Adelle Sixkiller, 39, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 15, 2023 at Northwest Medical Center of Springdale.
Jana was born February 15, 1984 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. She was raised by Jim and Annie Sixkiller in Chewey, Oklahoma, where she grew up playing outside with others and living her childhood life to the fullest. She graduated from Westville High School and went on to obtain many certificates and her associates degree. When she wasn't working, she could be found in the kitchen, cooking up something delicious-honorable mention is her frybread; she also enjoyed fishing, hiking, and being up for anything-especially if it was free.
She is survived by her dad, Dale Sixkiller of Sallisaw, OK; mom, Joann Sixkiller of Tahlequah, OK; her children, Tyara Thomas, Daylon Thomas, Destin Polina, Gabrielle Polina, Nadia Polina; special friend, Matthew Elliot of Springdale, AR; brothers, Marcus Sixkiller of Springdale, AR., and Jeremy Sixkiller and wife, Shantana of Tahlequah, OK; nieces, Tanika Sixkiller and Kyzlee Sixkiller; numerous cousins; countless friends; and many other loved ones.
She is preceded in death by Jim and Annie Sixkiller, and her brother, Tommy Sixkiller.
A visitation will be held 4:00pm-8:00pm, Monday, May 22, 2023 at Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home.
A memorial service will be held 2:00pm, Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at Illinois River Baptist Church in Chewey, OK with Bro. Leo Bird officiating.
