Jane Miller Greenway, 87, passed away on December 3, 2025. Jane was born on February 28, 1938, in Nashville, Tennessee to Elzie and Fannie Rose Caroline Miller.
Jane graduated from Donelson High School and attended Middle Tennessee State University. She was a founding member of The Donelson Fellowship. She was also involved with the Friends of Two Rivers Mansion and the Pennington Bend Home Demonstration Club. Jane had a keen eye and was exceptional in her interior design and decorating career.
Jane was a history buff and loved to keep the family history known. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She often took her grandkids on memorable trips and loved to babysit them when the opportunity arose. Jane’s nieces and nephews were more like siblings, she cherished the memories, trips, and holidays spent with them. Jane had a multitude of friends and was the best at keeping up with birthdays and sending cards. Near the end, Jane wanted her friends to know how much she would miss them.
Jane is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Jimmie L. Greenway, her great-granddaughter Alexis Hope Hanes, brothers Herbert Miller and Wayne Miller, sister Oleda Rudy, and brother-in-law Frank Rudy. She is survived by her children Pamela G. (Chuck) Hanes and Jamie (Monica) Greenway, grandchildren Whitney Cage, Taylor Hanes, Hunter Hanes, Gabrielle Trantham, and Jamison Greenway, great-grandchildren Emme Hanes, Hanes Gage, and Porter Trantham. In addition, she is survived by her sister-in-law Nancy Miller and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Monday, December 8, 2025, beginning at 3pm at Hendersonville Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at Welch College beginning at 1pm. Burial will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at Spring Hill Cemetery in Madison at 11am.
