Jane Anne Hart, 89, of Hillsboro, passed away Thursday, September 4, 2025, at her home. She was born on March 17, 1936, in Hillsboro, the daughter of Carl Leon and Wanna Pope (Sears) Killpatrick. She married Cecil Lee Hart August 12, 1956, at First Presbyterian Church in Hillsboro. He preceded her in death November 6, 2009. Mrs. Hart began her career as a legal secretary for the law firm of Bullington-White & Hickman. She ended her career with the same firm, now named Bullington-White-McPhail- Jarman & Evans. She spent her entire life as an organist with local churches, initially with the United Methodist Church and finally with the First Presbyterian Church of Hillsboro. She enjoyed knitting, traveling, especially taking group trips, and dining locally with her friends.

Mrs. Hart is survived by:

Son, Bradley (Dr. Kai) Hart of Hillsboro

Grandchildren, Alison (Adam) McCammack, Andrea Hart, Braden Hart, Bryton Hart, and Karrigan Hart

Great-grandchildren, Dylan and Adyson McCammack

Sister-in-law Francis Killpatrick of Alexandria, VA

Niece, Amy Ruth Killpatrick (Charles) Fox of Lititz, PA

Nephew, Patrick (Cheryl) Killpatrick of Millersville, MD

Great niece, Megan Asensio Killpatrick

Great nephews, Matthew O'Rourke Killpatrick and Joseph James Killpatrick.

Mrs. Hart was preceded in death by parents, Carl and Wanna Killpatrick; husband, Cecil L Hart; son, Brian K. Hart; brother, James Carl Killpatrick; and a sister, Doris Jean Killpatrick, in infancy.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsboro. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Montgomery County Cancer Society, 106 Pinnacle Point Drive, Hillsboro, IL, 62049.
