DeVargas Funeral Home and Crematory - EspanolaJane Trujillo, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home in Chimayo on November 7, 2025, at the age of 80.
Jane devoted her life to her family, who meant everything to her. Alongside her husband and love of her life, Tony, she never missed an event or game involving their children and grandchildren. Her passion for supporting local sports continued throughout her life, as she regularly attended Espanola Valley volleyball and basketball games and cheered for her favorite team, the UNM Lobos.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Apolonio and Arminda Gallegos; sisters Elsie Gonzales (Chris), Arabella Borrego (Arturo), and Lita Apodaca; her in-laws Donicio and Carmelita Trujillo; sister-in-law Eloyda Trujillo; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jane is survived by her loving husband, Tony Trujillo; daughters Melinda Marquez (Ron), Stephanie Graham (Frank), and Dorine Sanchez (Jason); grandchildren Michael Marquez, Shelby Graham, Mitchell Marquez (Kristin), Jarec Sanchez, Shayla Graham, Kaitlyn Sanchez, and Kamryn Sanchez; and great-grandchildren Ethan, Haven, and Kane Marquez. She is also survived by siblings Andres Gallegos (MaryAgnes), Mary Gallegos, Connie Orona (Luke), and Mary Ann Martinez; and in-laws Mel Apodaca, Nelson Trujillo (Margie), Vicente Trujillo (Irene), Sarabel Bryson, Consuelo Salazar and Irene Trujillo.
Jane touched the lives of many and will always be remembered for her loving and caring nature.
A Rosary will take place on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at DeVargas Funeral Home and a Mass will take place on Friday, November 21, 2025, at the Holy Family Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. and burial at Nuestra Senora de Dolores Cemetery in Chimayo, NM.
