Jane Young Obituary

Jane was born August 8, 1949, in Richmond, Indiana, to Charles R. and Jane McIntyre Phillips. While she lived in this community most of her life, Jane enjoyed living in Europe for several years. She was a graduate of Richmond High School and worked in payroll for Johns Manville and The City of Richmond. Jane was well respected by her coworkers and city employees. She enjoyed traveling, reading, photography, and spending time with her friends and family.
Survivors include her son, Ty (Amy Henshaw) Filby; and grandson, Ian Henshaw.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ron Young; and her parents.
Visitation for Jane Lynn Young will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 5, 2025, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 5, 2025, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Pastor Reuben Dunckel Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Earlham Cemetery.
