Funeral Services for Janell Colvin, 87, of Ruston, LA will be 2:00 PM Friday, October 17, 2025, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel in Ruston, LA. Officiating the service will be Rev. Dale Oden. Interment will follow in Unionville Cemetery in Dubach, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes in Ruston.
A visitation for family and friends will be prior to the service from 1:00 P.M. until service time at 2:00P.M. at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel.
Janell was born January 23, 1938, in Waurika, Oklahoma and passed away on October 14, 2025, in Ruston, LA. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Ruston, LA. Janell is preceded in death by her husband, L. Victor Colvin; her parents, Leon Millard McEachern and Dorothy McEachern.
Janell is survived by her daughters: Rosie Colvin of Dubach; Vicky Nugent (Allen) of Josephine, TX; Robin Gresham (Chris) of Ruston; 8 grandchildren: Angie Chisholm (Michael) of Ruston; Marshal Doss (Karla) of Ruston; Justin Frasier of Bossier City; Ashley Frasier of Shreveport; Jessica Azua (Austin) of Lavon, TX; Brittney Nugent of Joplin, MO; Wes Gresham of Ruston; Mandi Clark (Aaron) of Ruston; 8 great grandchildren: Victor Washington, Annaliese Doss, Peyton Chisholm, Shelton Chisholm, Ainsley Doss, Dylan Doss, Enzo Azua, Beau Clark; and her brother, Darrell McEachern (Kandy) of Shreveport; brother-in-law, Thomas Colvin (Lilia) of Davie, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Wes Gresham, Marshall Doss, Aaron Clark, Justin Frasier, Tim Colvin, and Kevin Corie.
Memorials may be made to Temple Baptist Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
