Janese Ann Hasselbeck, of Metairie, Louisiana, passed away on November 6, 2025, surrounded by love. She was the beloved wife of the late George Girard Sr., with whom she is now reunited in heaven. Janese was also preceded in death by her parents, Gladys Perry Hasselbeck and John Hasselbeck Sr., and her brother, Joseph Hasselbeck.

She lived her life with strength, courage, and an open heart-always putting her family and friends first when needed the most. She is survived by her children, George Girard Jr., Shelby Ann Hasselbeck (Ryan), and her son by heart, George Cabrera, who will all miss their Mama and remember her fondly.

She was a devoted and proud Mawmaw/Nanny/Nana to Chase, Anthony, Emaree, Cheyenne, Walter (Charla), Wesley, Madison, and Julian. Janese is also survived by her siblings, Jane Garcia (late, Augie), James Hasselbeck, John Hasselbeck Jr. (LeAnn), and Jacquelyn Hornal (William), along with many beloved nieces and nephews.

She will be remembered for the steady love she gave to her family and friends, who will carry her spirit with them forever.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Services at Garden of Memories Funeral Home & Cemetery, 4900 Airline Drive Metairie, LA 70001 on Tuesday, November 11, 2025. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am with a Mass starting at 1:00 pm followed by burial. To order flowers or offer condolences, please visit www.gardenofmemoriesmetairie.com.
