Janet was born on November 17, 2023 in Alameda, California to her parents, R.G. and Edna South. Her early years were spent in Riverbank, California where she graduated from Riverbank High School in 1958. In 1961, she married the love of her life, James Adcox in Modesto, California. Janet worked as a sales clerk and then an accountant for many years. When she was not working, she enjoying being a hospice volunteer. Janet had many hobbies. She loved tending to her garden, collecting beautiful lighthouses, and playing the piano. She was a member of Tully Road Missionary Baptist Church. Janet was a loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, and friend.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents, R.G. and Edna South.
Janet is survived by James Adcox Sr., James Adcox Jr., Ronald Adcox, and Bryan Adcox.
Janet will be laid to rest at Turlock Memorial Park during a private burial service for family.
