Janet Anderson Obituary

Visit the Larkin Mortuary - Salt Lake City website to view the full obituary.
Our miracle angel, Janet Ohrea Anderson climbed her mountain of tests and trials and successfully made it to the top overcoming cancer, blood clots and dementia. Janet passed away September 26, 2023. Born November 16, 1968 to Leonard and Kathy Anderson. Because of a very difficult birth, Janet was born with brain damage, but she far exceeded any expectation her doctors had for her. Janet participated in special education classes. She received job training at the Jones Center and worked for nine years at the Tiffin Room in ZCMI. A special thank you to Tom and Joyce Watts for giving her that opportunity. After the Tiffin Room closed, Janet worked for 15 years for Reams. Our thanks go to Ken Lund for being so patient with her.
Janet was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her favorite calling was passing out the Sacrament meeting programs. She made sure everyone got one whether they wanted one or not.
Janet is survived by her parents, sisters, Leslie (Rodney) Peck. Debbie (Carey) Cordova, and brother Joe Anderson.
Janet, we will miss you so badly. But we know now you will reach your full potential that Heavenly Father has in store for you and that is a great comfort to us.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, October 1, 2023 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Kimball Ward, 2280 South 300 East, South Salt Lake, Utah. Graveside services will be held at 12:00 pm on Monday, October 2, 2023 at Elysian Burial Gardens, 1075 East 4580 South, Millcreek, UT. For those unable to attend, the graveside services will be streamed via Zoom. Please click on the watch services link above.
A special thank you goes to Symbii Hospice. Steve, Chloe, Theresa, Hilarie and Merina. All of you were so sweet in the care you gave Janet.
