Mrs. Janet Garrett Blake, 66, of Jacksons Gap passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at Lake Martin Community Hospital. She was born on March 10, 1959 in Alexander City, to John Irvin "Toe Boy" Garrett and Lucy Price Garrett. Janet was a proud graduate of Dadeville High School, class of 1977, where she established lifelong friendships and connections that she continued to treasure. Her career at Russell Corp spanned many years, reflecting her versatile abilities and dedication. In each department she worked, Janet's adaptability and skill earned her the reputation as a jack of all trades.
Above all, Janet's roles as a loving wife to her husband, Robert, a devoted mother to her children, and an adoring grandmother were her most treasured titles. Her love was a boundless ocean, surrounding her family with care and comfort. The special moments spent with her grandchild were filled with laughter and kindness that will resonate through generations.
Janet's affection extended to her pets, who were equally pampered and loved. Her home was an abode of warmth and joy, where every soul, whether on two legs or four, felt cherished.
The void left by Janet's departure is immeasurable, yet her presence will forever be felt in the gentle breeze, the quiet strength of nature, and most of all, in the resilient and loving hearts of her family. As we say farewell to Janet Marie Blake, we do so with gratitude for the abundant love she shared, the wisdom she imparted, and the unwavering care she offered. Her life was a profound testament to the beauty of a kind spirit, and her memory will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Blake of Jacksons Gap; daughter, Kasey Jackson (fiance, Jeromy Malone) of Alexander City; son, Joe Keahey of Dadeville; grandchild, Harper Jackson; sister, Nancy Yarbrough of Jacksons Gap; and brother-in-law, Richard Blake (Aimee).
She was preceded in death by her Father, John Irvin Garrett, Mother, Lucretia Garrett; daughter, Amanda Keahey; and sister, Betty Humphreys.
Radney Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Janet Garrett Blake.
