Janet Blanck Obituary

Janet graduated from St. Clair High School in 1959 and Michigan State University in 1963, with a degree in Education. She resided and raised her two children in Algonac, initially teaching elementary school and then becoming a realtor, opening North Channel Realty. She later moved to Birmingham and opened Bloomfield Realty, which she ran until retirement in 2002. She loved nature, painting, writing, reading, politics, her children and grandchildren. She was considered ahead of her time on many social issues and was a strong advocate for the disabled and those that struggle with mental health disabilities.
She is survived by her children, Tim Blanck of Oakland Township and Kelly (Ray) Tucker of Kimball; grandchildren, Dr. Lauren Blanck, Hanna Blanck, Dr. Jacob Tucker, Jordan Ranocchini, Jessica Alberty, Havilah Tucker and Abbye Alexiou; brothers, Joseph (Chickie) Stubbs and Rev. Jack (Laura Deming) Stubbs; as well as many great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her sister Nancy Barr.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
