Janet Sue (Plant) Blankenship, 79, of Wooster passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at her residence with her family by her side.
Janet was born May 16, 1943, in Shreve to Willis and Rosella {Clark} Plant. She grew up in Wooster and married Larry Blankenship on March 9, 2019.
Janet was a caregiver at Starcher Family Home for 18 years. She was a member of the Church of God in West Salem, where she taught Bible study. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed going out to eat, shopping, and her cats, dogs, and birds.
Janet will be deeply missed by her husband, Larry; great-nephew Donald (Erica) Plant and their children Xavier and Enzo, stepchildren Teresa and Brad Mollohan, Grace (Paul) Kaiser and their children Chiron and Gavin; brothers Ron (Beverly) Plant and there kids Greg, Brad, Ronnie, Renee Swart and Rebecca Williams; Don (Diana) Plant, Richard Plant and his son Jason (Kathleen) Plant and there kids Remi and Lila ; Bill (Diane) Seith, sisters Dianne Hopkins, Martha (Warren) Davis, sister-in-law Jill Plant; cousin Judy (Richard) Tharp; niece Sherry Johnson and her kids Amber (Matt) Miller, Ben Johnson, and Nick Roach; nephew Mike Plant and his sons Jay and Gary Plant; nephew Jeff Plant; nephew Tim (Diane) Plant and there kids Brandon and Isabel Plant; niece Jennifer Monastra and her kids Madison (Trey) Shank, Joseph Monastra, Gabby Monastra and Nathan Monastra; niece Kristen (Aaron) Balliett and her kids Camryn Murray and Garrison Balliett.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents, brother Gary Plant and an infant brother, Larry Plant.
Services will be at a later date at the Church of God in West Salem. Roberts Funeral Home- Sherwood Chapel, Wooster is assisting with arrangements.
