Janet Lea Catlett

Janet Lea Catlett, 73, a ten year resident of Edgewater, MD and previously of Springfield, VA, died on March 3 at her home after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer over three years ago. Born on January 10, 1952 in Washington, DC to the late Bert and Clayla Grogan, Janet was a loving stay at home mother to her two children, a dedicated wife, caregiver and volunteer. She was a member of the West River Yacht Club and enjoyed gardening, antiquing, reading, stained glass and doing crafts. Janet is survived by her husband of 55 years, Larry Stephen Catlett; her children, Kevin Stephen Catlett of Edgewater and Laura Catlett Brown of Reston, VA and her grandchildren, Myles and Evan Brown and Kayla Catlett. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society (cancer.org). A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
