Janet Ann Cluett, of Rockland, passed away on May 20, 2024 at the age of 81. She was the daughter of Doris (Groves) and Herman R. Stone.
Janet was born and raised in Quincy where she was a graduate of Quincy High School. She then went on to earn her associates degree from Massasoit College. Janet worked as an office manager for many years. In 1967 she married the love of her life, Robert "Bob" Cluett, and the two were living in Canada before they settled in Quincy to raise their family.
Janet was a strong-willed and outspoken woman who lived life on her own terms. An avid smoker and a woman of many words, she never cared of what people thought of her. She loved her coffee especially her afternoon iced coffee as well as her morning muffins. She loved reading as well as going to the beach, shopping and gossiping with friends. But above all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Janet was the loving wife of 57 years to Bob Cluett. Mother of Heather Lowery of Quincy, Erin Varley and her husband Paul of Holbrook, and Jeff Cluett and his husband George Rodgers of San Francisco. Grandmother of Alexander, Addison, Saige, Kirstin and Violet. She is also survived by many cousins.
Services are being held privately.
