Janet was born January 2, 1943, in Sharon, the daughter of the late John and Ida Mae (Stubbs) Sweeney.
She graduated from Farrell High School with honors in 1960. She retired in 2010 from First National Bank in Hermitage where she was a Commercial Loan Review Specialist. After retirement she worked for Seniors Helping Seniors up until her 80th birthday.
Janet enjoyed her little garden and Sunday dinners with family. She always said her greatest joy in life was spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids.
She is survived by her daughter Susan (Tony) Zeronas of Transfer, two sons, Jeff Dunkerley of Birmingham AL and Richard Dunkerley of Tionesta PA, her sister Julia (Harold) Davis of Hermitage, her grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, Kaitlyn, Blake, Courtney, Jeffrey and Jason and her great grandchildren, Kaden, Carter, Oakley, Audie and Annie.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Larry Sweeney.
Per her request services will be private.
