Janet A. Horn Holawaty, 77, of McDonald, passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2025 in the Greenery, Canonsburg.
Janet was born on April 4, 1947 in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late, Percy and Elizabeth Rodger Horn.
Mrs. Holawaty was a retired nurse, working numerous years at various hospitals around town. Janet enjoyed knitting and crocheting and was very gifted at it too. She made numerous blankets for her friends and family over the years. Janet also loved cooking and testing her limits with difficult and unique meals. Of course, Janet also enjoyed sitting down in front of her TV and cheering on the Steelers, win or lose.
Surviving is her son, Joe (Lori) Savena, grandchildren, Corinne and Jillian Savena, sister, Joyce Beining, sister-in-law, Marie Horn, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Janet is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Holawaty, son, John Savena, and brothers, Paul and Bill Horn.
Friends and family will be received on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 from 10 a.m. – Noon at Thomas-Little Funeral Service, Inc., 314 W. Lincoln Ave., McDonald (724-926-2800). A Service will be held on Wednesday in the funeral home at Noon. Interment will follow at Robinson Church Cemetery.
