Janet "Jan" Markovich, a beacon of love and joy, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2025, in Denver, Colorado. Born on March 21, 1959, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Jack and Josephine (Dzurinda) Hennings, Jan's infectious smile and warm heart touched many throughout her 65 years of life.
Jan's journey led her from Cleveland, Ohio to the scenic landscapes of Castle Rock, Colorado, where she moved to be closer to her beloved daughter's family. It was here that she embraced the role of a doting grandmother, reveling in the joy of her granddaughters, Charli and Chandler Moyle. Her daughter, Amanda Moyle, was her pride and joy, the center of her world, and together they shared an unbreakable bond- one built on love and an innate understanding of each other's hearts.
A woman of many passions, Jan rejoiced in the beauty of the outdoors. She found solace and joy in her gardens, where she cultivated not only stunning flowers but also a sense of peace and wonder. Her green thumb brought vibrant colors to life, and her gardens were a reflection of the love and care she poured into everything she did.
Jan's spirit was as free as the mountain air, and her enthusiasm for life was as boundless as the sky. Her love for Rock and Roll music often found her dancing and singing, her voice a melody that echoed the happiness she carried within. Her zest for life was infectious, and she inspired those around her to find joy in every moment. Above all, Jan was known for her incredibly kind and caring nature, she wore her heart on her sleeve, never hesitating to lend a helping hand or offer a warm embrace. Her ability to make others feel valued and loved was a rare and beautiful gift.
Jan's professional life was marked by dedication and a strong work ethic, but it was her role as a mother and grandmother that truly defined her. She was a source of endless love for her family.
Jan is survived by her daughter, Amanda (Andrew) Moyle; grandchildren, Charli and Chandler Moyle; her siblings, Joanne Hennings, Jackie Hennings and Joel (Rita) Hennings; and many loving relatives and friends.
Described by those who knew her as loving and full of warmth, Jan's legacy is one of compassion, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to her family. Her presence was a gift to all who had the pleasure of knowing her, and her memory will continue to be a source of comfort and inspiration.
Jan Markovich will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were graced by her love. Her story is not one of sorrow, but of a life beautifully lived and a love generously given. As we bid farewell to Jan, we celebrate the indelible mark she has left on this world.
If I had a flower for every time I thought of you, I could walk through my garden forever.
– Alfred Lord Tennyson

I was privileged to be a friend of Jan's for over 3 years. My granddaughter and I would come to her facility and play games and Jan and I spoke regularly.
I am so sorry to hear of her passing and will miss her laugh and our many insightful conversations.
My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
